“THE YELLOW EYES OF CROCODILES” BOOK REVIEW Maribel Pedraz GarcĂa (NI1) 182 words
I recently read “The Yellow Eyes of Crocodiles”, a novel written by Katherine Pancol and published by Albin Michel Editions in 2006. It has been a huge success in France , where it sold more than one million copies and received the "Prix de Maison de la Presse, award in 2006". The Yellow Eyes of Crocodiles has already been translated into Russian, Chinese, Ukrainian, Polish, Korean, Vietnamese and Norwegian.
The book describes relationships between the members of a family and particularly between two sisters. It is about men and women. The women we are, the women we would like to be, the women we shall never be, the women we shall perhaps one day become.
This novel is the story of a lie, but it is also a story of love, friendship, betrayal, money and dreams. It is full of laughter and tears.
I liked it a lot and would recommend the book because it is easy to read and inspires you to move on, stay positive and not hide from life but embrace it. This novel is life itself.
