A cover letter

Are you looking for a job? The homework assignment for this weekend (May 7th & 8th) is to write a cover letter for one of these job advertisements, or the ones in your book.
Follow instructions on pg 86-87 from your workbook.

1. Teacher Needed: Tommy's Kindergarten needs 2 teacher/trainers to help with classes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Applicants should have appropriate licenses. For more information visit Tommy's Kindergarten in Leicester Square No. 56.

2. Part Time work available: We are looking for retired adults who would like to work part time at the weekend. Responsibilities include answering the telephone and giving customer's information. For more information contact us by calling 897-980-7654.

3. University positions open: The University of Cumberland is looking for 4 teaching assistants to help with homework correction. Applicants should have a degree in one of the following: Political Science, Religion, Economics or History. Please contact the University of Cumberland for more information.

I am writing in reply to your advertisement in The Pais for a teaching assistant at the university of Cumberland.
At the moment I am working part time as a teacher in a private school. My responsabilities range from organizig classes to teach students the business economy.
I have been taught for others schools for ten years. These jobs have taught me a wide range of skills that are valuable in my work.I would like to work in this positions to help with homework correction and so to have more hours of work. I believe my experience, interes and enthusiasm would be excellent for your position.
As you will see from my CV, I have the right degree. I have thirteen years of teaching experience. In this time I have learned a wide variety os skills connectec to my work, because I have done a lot of courses and I have written three articles in "Tha Economy Magazine".

Dear Sir/Madam,
I´m writing in replay to your advertisment in the Times for a cook at your health center in Wallingford.
At the moment, I´m working as a cook in the Nautical Beach Club, wich is located in a small and nice village called Altafulla, near Barcelona (Spain). My responsabilities range from organising the daily meals for the club members to elaborate menus for special gatherings like ejecutive meetings, sporty trophy celebrations and even wedding banquets. In the club´s hotel I also organice courses for students from several cookery schools between the Costa Dorada and Barcelona. In teese classes I use to teach basic cookery skills, catalan cuisine and special diets elaboration like gluten freee, fat free, vegetarian, macrobiotic and light diets. All theese kind of dishes have been included as a part of the options in the Beach Club Restaurant and Hotel to satisfy our cliens growing demand along the last years.
I have been working for the Nautic Beach Club, for other sporty clubs restaurants, spas and ressort´s hotels. All theese jobs have helped me to develope a wide range of recipes wich I have enjoyed to cook and teach.
Due to some family reasons, I´m going to move to the United Kingdom next month and Oxford is the town I´ve decided to get settled permanently. For this reason I´m very interested in working for the Santé Health Centre in Wallingford.
As you will see from my CV, learning and cooking about special diets has been one of my main interests. I´ve participated in Two masters and in many courses about health and nutirtion in both my country and abroad. Also I can spike english fluently.

At the moment, I am working as teacher at Secondary School Saint Peter. Here I have a part-time job. My responsibilities range from teaching History to children 16 years old to organizing the History of Art department. I also teach in private classes in the afternoon: English grammar, Latin language and History. I have been working in other education institutions. But my most prominent job has been as assistant teacher of Columbia University for four years. I loved it because I developed many skills in teaching.
As you will see from my CV I have a degree in History and Art of History. In addition, I have a doctorate in Contemporary History. I have also written several articles about English History and I have participated in conferences focused on this issue.
My job is very challenging and rewarding but I would like to do more interesting things. I would love to come back to the University environment, where I think that I can prove my skills better. Therefore, I am very interested in working for the University of Cumberland and I would be very pleased if I were part of your team. Moreover I believe that my experience would be excellent for this position.

I am writing in reply to your advertisement in Infojobs for a solar sales trading technician at the branch office of SATCOM in Madrid.
At the moment, I am working as a freelance engineer designing and calculating gas, plumbing and heating installations projects, though I am between jobs so that, I can earn any money while I can finish a Master in Renawable Energy.

I am a technician industrial engineer but my professional experience has often had in connection with building companies as site manager. In the last job I was working in one of them, being the main responsible for financial and technical of the work, others responsabilities range from organising and planning work teams to relationships with project management and property. I worked long hours, but I liked much the work in-site. I also have been working in engineering which I developed as a calcullation engineer and I have worked in a foreign consulting company which I had an opportunity in a great international project as a project supervisor, verificating and controlling of operation testing
As you will see from my CV, my background don´t related to new job, but I am very interested in it because I am seeking to make a new career in the renawable energy field mainly.

At the moment, I am working as economy teacher at the University of Columbia in New York. My responsibilities range from giving classes and testing. I also organise conferences and seminaries about "current economic situation" and "economy models". Because of this, I meet people every day: many economists and people in the world of finance. I love my work!

I have been working for many companies and multinational companies since I left the University, but I decided to turn my life and back to University two years ago. I studied Economics at the University of Cambridge and I made a Master. However, I would now like to develop all my skills and to help other teachers with the homework correction and their classes. For these reasons I am very interested in working for the University of Cumberland.

As you will see from my CV, economy is also one of my main interests. I speak three languages and I am studying History now. I have also written some articles for economic magazines.

At the moment, I am not working, but I‘ve an Fp superior of Infantile Education I’m studying a degree of Teaching to children in the kinder. This company was one of the first ones in including this department in his company and it’s very useful.

Few years ago, I was working in the Day-care center in a company where the working-mothers left their day of work their children. I know, I don’t have enough experience, because I’m young but I have many desires of working and learning new useful things about this job. I love the children and I love this job. I’m very interested in working for the Tommy’s Kindergarten.

As you will see form my CV, you can see my interests. At the weekends, I usually I take care of the children of my neighbors or of my small cousins.

At the moment, I'm working at Gran Capitán High School as an Economy teacher, but I would like to start working at the University in orden to work with more professional people. My responsabilities range from giving lessons and instructions to the students to preparing and correcting the exams. In adittion, I also give extra lessons for people who are preparing for competitive examinations.

I finished my Economy degree five years ago and I studied a master course on Econometry. I have been working at the high school for four years, and I think it's time to have a change for the better.

I am extremely interested in Economy and Socials Sciences in general and I have skills to work in groups and to share my knowledge.
