American finalist on 'Arabs Got Talent'

Hi,

I thought you might like to listen to this video about how music unifies cultures. American Jennifer Grout finished third on Arabs got Talent contest.

What do you think about it? Did the news surprise you? How important is it to learn a language to be able to sing it?

Americans always surprise us.
It is curious that an American young singer ,who barely speaks Arabic , was the final three contestants . I mean that it's otherwise usual, young singers ,whose tongue is not English, want to be more known singing in English.

I don´t know what is the objective of this girl:
if it´s only to be a celebrity in the musical world making something unusual to appear in the mass media, or she is interested in the arabic language and music because she speaks arabic well.
Anyway it´s funny, the opposite of a american standard personne which hates the arabic people
