This is
just a reminder of what we will be doing next week. You have to read ONE of
these articles according to the assignment in class, and then present it to
your four-member group on Tuesday or Wednesday:
Text 1: Court
finds Nobody Criminally Responsible for 2002 Oil Spill, The New York Times
Text 2: Spain
pulls out of two-year recession, The Telegraph
Text 3: Spanish
government approves draft law cracking down on demonstrations, The Guardian
Text 4: Cutbacks
and PP government’s reform plans fuel students’ strike, ElPais in English
This is an idea that my colleague Cristina suggested to me. Thanks!

On respect to the news about the Prestige case, it is another shame case in the falling of the prestige of the spanish justice. We cannot afford on with a system where Executive and Judicial powers come out from the same people: the ones who hold the money.
My opinion about the text which talk about the law that regulate the demonstrations, is that the goverment wants to transmit its fear to the population. They have fear because they know that people have nothing to lose and think people will go out to complain against its political messures even more tan before. So goverment need to muzzle all this protests.
