Shook: past tense of "shake". To move from side to side or up and down.
Made it: succeeded in doing sth, such as searching a place in time, e.g. We made it to the station just in time to catch the train.
Collided with: crashed into
Survivors: people who survive, do not die in an accident or terrorist attack
Caught fire: started burning
Paralysed: unable to move at all
