So how do you think the internet has affected your life overall? Could you give me a list of things you look up in the internet?
Are you a "native digital" or an "immigrant digital"?
A digital native is a person who was born after the general implementation of digital technology, and as a result, has had a familiarity with digital technologies such as computers, the Internet, mobile phones, and digital audio players over their entire lives.
A digital immigrant is an individual who was born before the existence of digital technology and adopted it to some extent later. Alternatively, this term can describe people born in the latter 1970s or later, as the Digital Age began at that time; but in most cases the term focuses on people who grew up with 21st Century technology.

Hello! I'm a digital native. I've been surrounded by digital tecnologies since I was very little.
Nowadays, I use the Internet to chat to my friends, to look for information, to watch films, to buy some things, to listen to the music and, specially, to be in contact with my teachers and classmates from the University. My teachers ask me to send my homework by e-mail. It's very useful, because we don't need to meet when we have to do a team work, and we can ask our doubts to the teachers at any time. For the first time, next Satudray I'm going to sit my first examen by Internet. I'll see how it is.
Maria Jose, I had a question for you. You asked me to post my composition here in the blog, but I don't know where to post it! Could you help me, please? Thank you.
I'm María from NI1.

Hi!
I´m a digital inmigrant because I´m forty years old but my brother was teaching to me since the eighties and my knowledge is very good. He studied computer science. Internet is a part of our actually life, if you want to be living in our busy society you need it. I´m usually looking for information, reading the newspaper, talking with skype, chat to friends of other countries, listening music and see movies on line and you can do it inmediately.
See you on Monday. Thanks a lot.

Hi everybody:
I'm able to use Internet to send and receive emails, listening to the music, talking trough the Skype with friends or relatives... and things like these, but I prefer reading a "normal" newspaper or book, or watching a movie at the cinema because of silence and darkness. I'm afraid I'm a digital immigrant.
Hello!!
I think that I'm a digital native, because I use the technology every day; but I think that I'm a digital immigrant a bit too because when I was born, in 1991, the technology, as telephones or computers were developing and only few persons were using them.
Today, many people have computer and telephone, as they have Internet. We use Internet to unload music, movies, to visit appraisals, or as in my case, that I am a student, I use Internet to look for information, to send e-mails to my teachers and to see their blogs to see my marks or to unload notes about the subject, for example; to speak with friends and relatives... Internet has many uses.
I think that internet and computers are necessaryto work, for example, before we were using typewriters and if you were wrong, you had to star again; but now, we use computers and if you are wrong, you can remove only that part.

Hello! I´m a digital native because I have lived surrounded by digital devices since I was born: mobile phones, computers, digital audio players. The first time I used the Internet I was 8 years old, and I remember the connection was really slow.
It was a matter of time that all devices and operating systems would improve considerably. Some have fallen into disuse and others have reached an enormous popularity a few years ago, as the I-pod touch, the Blackberry...
Today the Internet is part of my life. I use it virtually for everything: send mails, chat with friends, watch tuenti and facebook, make video calls with Skype, download files, watch online movies, check my mobile phone bills, look at my financial statements, transfer funds, buy several objects, seek information, watch the news, reserve tickets, look up schedules of theaters, cinemas ...
I find it very convenient and easy.
Greetings.
I´m Irene Ortega, NI1.
Hello everybody!
I'm a digital immigrant, of course! ;)
I'm really interested in the technology!
I use the world wide web for a lot of things, from send an email, speak through Skype, chat to friends on line, social red sites, etc, until check my bank acount and bills.
It's a great invention, if you use with common sense, it will be a wonderful tool, but I think is very important that the teachers teach well to youngs digitals natives as use it .
Bye, have a good week!
:)

I´M A DIGITAL INMIGRANT
I remember the first time I used the e-mail. It was in my job. I had to send information to an ex-jobmate. The fist time I tried I forgot to add the document to the message. Te second time I was not sure I had sent it. I needed to send my message for times at all!
I don´t know what my ex-mate thougt about me. May be he thougt I was silly.
But this happened long time ago. About ten years.
Now my P.C., internet, messenger and alldigital gadgens and devices are very usefull for me.
I can look for information, communicate myself with all my friends in a fast way (and I haven´t to spend lots of money calling them by phone, like I did before).
Day by day I become more keen on digital communication.
If I could use it before I should had learnt more. But I was born in the sixties!
I know I could never be a digital native: When my children want to stay using their P.C. all day, they really get on my nerves.I think they ought to read books instead of spending so much time chatting with their friends, using twenti and so on. They can´t understand me, because they are real digital natives!
I am 39, so obviously I´m a digital inmigrant. In the past, I´ve wrote postcard and Christmas card to my friends and family, of course I´ve received envelopes with stamps too, I´ve lisened music in a record player, I´ve read the newspaper. At the work, I´ve used the fax to send and recieve information to somebody, I´ve sought unknown words in my dictionary. When I had a meeting with friend, the only way to contact them, it´s was by phone at theirs homes, and recently I´ve been doing homeworks writing and delivering to hand.
Although, it´s evident that I´ve adaptaded to use some of these new technologies, so as sending e-mails, messages, even english homeworks instead of fax o postcard, reading news on a computer, looking for information about travels, jobs, course, concerts and others by internet, reading music from my computer, there are two things I won´t do it through internet, the first, it will be to read a book, and second, chat with friends, I prefer to join with them and take a beer when they are next to me, or I can to go away to see them if they are too far, so I have an excuse to travel.

When a I lisen a new song or I need a new program I going to internet and download, but if I download a book I try to print because it´s impossible for me read for long time on the computer screem.
On the other hand, I never again prepare a travel in an agency, because I prefer to find my own hotel in the perfect place and I like compare the prices.
Internet and the news tenologies are part of my life because I started to use 14 years ago and I don´t imagine my life without internet.
